Researchers at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) have developed an inexpensive solar cell that can be painted or printed on flexible plastic sheets. Developing organic solar cells from polymers, however, is a cheap and potentially simpler alternative for silicon. One major advantage of organic solar panels is the low cost involved in manufacture. But most organic solar cells are currently running at conversion efficiencies less than 5 percent and a major problem with the plastic solar cells and organic solar cells in general is stability and longevity.
Ati inteles ... panouri fotovoltaice din polimeri, adica organice, cu un randament de 5% (!) si destul de instabile, cu o durata de viata redusa, insa foarte ieftine. Adica ... deocamdata nimic care sa ne entuziasmeze.
